Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp - April Meeting

‘Stitching & Story Telling’ - Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp
Ingrid is a versatile mixed media artist who believes art should tell a meaningful story to the beholder. Her work is very much based on her own personal memories and experiences combining the magical scenery and every-changing seasonal colours around her studio in Upper Dovedale. She draws a lot of inspiration from her Swedish roots and regular journeys back home. Some of her favourite techniques include collage, mono-printing and crystalline water colour enhancing the work with a luminous quality. The result is three dimensional, visual representations attempting to Thursday evening evoke thought.
An entertaining and inspirational talk.

Notty Hornblower

Here are some photos from a great event held yesterday - Notty Hornblower.
There was a variety of costumes and Notty described then so well and was able to provide details of the history of each.
It was a great event which sold out very quickly.
In addition to a great show the event was followed by tea, coffee and cakes. The cakes were made and donated by Lutterworth members - and they were fantastic.
Thanks to all the members who assisted with making the arrangements for the day.
